Life is made up of different phases. My life till now has had many phases but the best turn it took was when i entered GIMT for my graduation. Today when i look back i realise that those four years spent at GIMT was the best part of my life. Each and every memory is still very clear in my heart.
One such memory is of the last day(the day we had our last class). We all knew beforehand that it was the last day of our classes, so we decided that we should make the most out of it. We organized a small party and decorated our classroom(IT branch) to bid it our final goodbye. Everyone was excited, some of us were writing our goodbyes in the blackboard while others were blowing the balloons, arranging the desks, few were setting up the speakers that we had borrowed fro the chemistry department. Finally the one thing arrived for which all of us were eagerly waiting: the cake!! And as soon as the cake was set on the table, the whole 30 (our branch consisted of 30) attacked the cake and after a few minutes each one of our face was covered with caked. I can bet not a single one got to taste the cake, all we did was rub cake on one another's face. But that was fun. The masti continued for almost an hour. This was followed by a song performed by our very own IT band and all of us got lost in the song "Hum rahe ya na rahe kal, kal yaad ayenge ye pal"....It was then we realised that this was the last time we all were together.
The song reminded me of all the times i has spent there. All the classes that i attended, the ones that i bunked, those addas in the college canteen, those copying assignments from one another, those fights we had and then the patch ups, the pranks we did, our bus journey which we all loved so much, everything started flashing back and it was very hard to hold back the tears. Soon after hugging each other and promising that we would stay in touch we bade our final goodbye!!!
